About
Meet the Maker
Hello, I’m Emily – the designer and maker behind Milly Silver Studio. I create contemporary jewellery using 100% recycled precious metals and ethically sourced gemstones. Alongside my own designs, I also offer a repair service to help breathe new life into treasured pieces, allowing them to be worn and loved for years to come.
My journey with jewellery began in 2019 while studying Psychology at university. In the midst of deadlines and exams, I found myself searching for a creative outlet – something to ease the pressure and allow me to step away from the stress of daily life. Jewellery-making quickly became that space for me: a practice where my hands could focus, my mind could rest, and my creativity could flow freely.
After graduating, I continued to explore this newfound passion, launching Milly Silver Studio as a side project. What started as a creative escape soon became a calling. As my designs and business grew, I felt it was time for a new chapter – and so Milly Silver Studio has evolved into Emily Dore Jewellery, a name that reflects both my craft and my personal journey as a maker.
My background in psychology gave me the confidence to take a leap into something entirely new, and I haven’t looked back. Since then, I’ve trained as a bench jeweller, completed a diploma in silver jewellery, and more recently, a diploma in fine jewellery.
What inspires me most is jewellery’s ability to hold meaning far beyond its material form. It can express individuality, capture memories, and symbolise life’s most significant moments. My greatest joy is crafting engagement and wedding rings – pieces that represent love, commitment, and partnership. These rings become lasting symbols of a couple’s story, cherished throughout their lives and often passed down through generations.
I would love to hear your story and help create something meaningful just for you. Please get in touch via my contact form, and I’ll respond as soon as I can.
With love,
Emily Dore

Commission Process!
Step 1
Booking Your Free Video Consultation
During this personalized video call, we’ll cover all aspects of your custom jewellery order, including:
Your vision: the type and style of jewellery you want—whether it’s minimalistic and elegant or bold and statement-making.
How often you plan to wear your piece, so I can recommend the best metals and gemstones for durability and comfort. While these are suggestions, the final choices are always yours.
Metal options and preferences.
Gemstone selection, if you’d like to include one.
Personalization and engraving possibilities.
Any design ideas or inspirations you have.
Your budget to ensure we create something perfect within your means.
To help bring your vision to life, I encourage you to prepare a moodboard of images that inspire you. This makes it easier to understand your style and assists in the design process.
If you decide to proceed after our call, I will provide a detailed quote and request a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin your bespoke design. Please note, the quote is valid for 2 days due to daily fluctuations in precious metal prices. Should you need more time, a new quote will be provided based on the current market rates.
Step 2
Design and Creation
Once your deposit is received, we will begin the design process. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way to ensure you are completely happy with the design before moving forward. Together, we will create the perfect piece of jewellery just for you.
We only start crafting your piece once you approve the design. If any adjustments are needed, we’ll continue refining it until it’s exactly right. Throughout the fabrication, you’ll receive updates and photos by email, so you can witness your design coming to life.
We believe this ongoing communication is essential. It helps you form a meaningful connection with your one-of-a-kind jewellery, which often carries cherished memories and stories. Staying involved in the design and creation process deepens that personal bond.
After the piece is meticulously polished to the highest standard, it will be sent to the Assay Office for hallmarking—a process that can take up to 5 working days. Once returned, any gemstones or sea glass will be set, followed by a final polish before your jewellery is beautifully packaged and ready to delight you.
Step 3
Delivery and Aftercare
Once your jewellery is beautifully packaged, we will send it out by post or arrange collection. You will receive an email notification when your design is ready to ship, along with photos of the finished piece. Your jewellery will arrive in elegant, eco-friendly packaging designed to enhance your unboxing experience and make it truly special.
For your peace of mind, all parcels are dispatched via Royal Mail’s tracked and signed service. You will receive a tracking number so you can monitor your delivery every step of the way until it reaches you.
To help keep your jewellery looking its best, we offer a complimentary cleaning service once a year. If your piece needs a refresh before then, you can visit my blog for tips on how to clean your jewellery safely without harsh chemicals.
We also provide a repair service for my designs at no charge, provided any damage is not due to misuse. For repairs caused by accidental damage, a repair fee may apply.
Thank you for taking the time to read about the process. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out via the contact form—I’m always happy to help.
